AREA OF USUAL RESIDENCE The survey found that a similar proportion of victims in state capital cities and in the remainder of Australia had a disability due to a mental health condition (10.9% and 12.2% respectively). There was no statistically significant difference between these two estimates. The proportion of victims with a disability due to a mental health condition ranged from 8.5% in South Australia to 15.2% in Victoria and Tasmania. These differences in proportions between the selected states and territories were not statistically significant.1 Footnote(s): (a) Includes physical or threatened violence and/or actual or attempted break-in.
