Median income Median income is the level of income which divides the units in a group into two equal parts, one half having incomes above the median and the other half having incomes below the median. Medians have been estimated for each income range using data from the Survey of Income and Housing. For information on how medians are used in the derivation of Total Personal Income (weekly) (INCP), refer to the relevant section.
