Australian residents temporarily overseas The Census only counts people in Australia on Census night, therefore Australian residents temporarily overseas are excluded. However, administrative data for Overseas Arrivals and Departures enable their inclusion in the Estimated Resident Population. See also Estimated Resident Population (ERP).
