GEOGRAPHICAL RESIDENCE Credit card fraud victimisation rates varied across the states and territories, with the rate in New South Wales (4.2%) and Western Australia (5.0%) higher than in Victoria (3.3%), Queensland (3.3%), South Australia (2.9%), and Tasmania (2.6%). People living in a state or territory capital city were more likely to be a victim of credit card fraud than people residing in other locations (4.2% compared to 2.8%).
