GROUP 46 – CULTURE AND LEISURE SUPPORT SERVICES Group 46 Culture and leisure support services consists of units mainly engaged in providing a variety of culture or leisure support services. These include services to industries in more than one of the divisions of the classification. An example of this is the services provided by ticketing agencies which manage bookings from the public for both cultural and sporting events. It consists of the following classes:
462 Agent and manager services; 463 Event management; 464 Culture and leisure business, professional and labour associations; and 469 Culture and leisure support services n.e.c. 461 TICKETING AGENCIES Definition This class consists of units mainly engaged in providing a ticketing service to the general public for culture and leisure activities other than travel.
Units mainly engaged in: (a) obtaining bookings on behalf of celebrities, music groups and other entertainers for appearances or performances are included in Class 462 Agent and manager services; and (b) operating travel agencies are out of scope of the classification.

Definition This class consists of units mainly engaged in managing or representing groups or individuals within the culture and leisure sectors.
Units mainly engaged in: (a) operating casting agencies are included in Class 279 Arts n.e.c.; (b) representing groups or individuals in the culture and leisure sectors through a business, professional or labour association are included in Class 464 Culture and leisure business, professional and labour associations; and (c) offering insurance broking and legal representative services are out of scope of the classification.
Entertainer/celebrity management or agency service Music group management or agency service Performing artist management or agency service Sports player management or agency service
Definition This class consists of units mainly engaged in presenting, promoting or producing a range of culture, sporting or leisure events. These units will generally be involved with more than one type of event over time.
Units mainly engaged in: (a) operating performing arts companies are included in the appropriate class within Group 22 Performing arts; (b) operating performing arts venues are included in Class 226 Performing arts venues; (c) operating individual arts festivals are included in Class 265 Motion Picture Exhibition or Class 279 Arts n.e.c., as appropriate; (d) promoting tours or individual performances by performing artists are included in Class 279 Arts n.e.c.; (e) providing sports and physical recreation opportunities to participants or entertainment for spectators are included in Class 322 Other sports and physical recreation venues, grounds and facilities or Class 332 Sports and physical recreation clubs, teams and sports professionals; (f) operating spectator sports venues are included in Class 322 Other sports and physical recreation venues, grounds and facilities; (g) operating individual community or other fairs or festivals are included in Class 451 Interest clubs and groups; and (h) organising corporate events are out of scope of the classification.

Definition This class consists of units mainly engaged in promoting the interests of employers, self employed persons or employees who are primarily involved in the culture or leisure sector. Services include advocacy, publicity and marketing. Definition This class consists of units mainly engaged in the provision of any culture or leisure support services not included elsewhere in the classification.
