An ABS Information Paper, Measuring Crime Victimisation in Australia: The impact of different collection methodologies (cat. no. 4522.0.55.001) was released on 5 February 2004. This Information Paper aims to provide an increased understanding of both the nature of crime victimisation measurement in Australia and the reasons why the findings from various data sources may differ. The paper utilises statistics from both ABS administrative collections and national survey collections.
