RURAL AND REGIONAL STATISTICS
New South Wales Regional Profiles, due for release in mid-2001, have a wide range of regional statistics. Data are available at the Local Government Area (LGA) level for key target groups including children, young people, women, older people, people with disabilities, indigenous people, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Regional Statistics, New South Wales, 2001 (Cat. no. 1362.1), released on 11 May 2001, provides the latest figures on population, births and deaths, labour force, educational attainment, crime, child care, local council data, businesses, building, hotels and motels, household expenditure and safety in the home. Much of the data is presented at the LGA level.
