Sydney...A Social Atlas (cat. no. 2030.1) was released on 28 October 2002 as part of the social atlas series for each capital city in Australia. Colour thematic maps of the key social, demographic and economic characteristics of Sydney are presented at the time of the 2001 Census. A core set of maps enable comparability between cities, including population, ethnicity, education, families, income, labour force and dwellings. City-specific topics have also been included because of their relevance to Sydney: people born in South-East Asia; people speaking a Chinese language at home; people speaking Arabic (including Lebanese) at home; blue collar workers; and white collar workers.
