CDATA 2001 - 2nd Release is coming soon
CDATA 2001 is a powerful desktop analysis package which uses MapInfo Professional Version 7 as the Geographic Information System (GIS) to map 2001 Census data. Developed jointly by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and MapInfo Australia, CDATA 2001 gives you access to a wide range of census data.
With CDATA 2001, clients can choose the demographic characteristics of interest, select the geographic areas required and view the data as thematic maps, graphs and reports.
The second release of CDATA 2001 will include the entire Basic Community Profile and Time Series Profile. It will also contain geographic boundaries, such as Urban Centres and Localities, Remoteness Areas and Statistical Districts.
The indicative date for the second release of CDATA 2001 is June 2003. A firm release date for this product will be announced shortly. If you are a subscriber to "census.users" or the CDATA User Group, you will be advised of the date through these mediums. Details will also be placed on the ABS web site.
The CDATA User Group has been established by the ABS to facilitate discussion of the product and its applications. Membership is free and assists users make more effective use of the CDATA product.
