Western Australian Aboriginal Child Health Survey (WAACHS) The WAACHS has been one of the largest and most comprehensive investigations into the health and well-being of over 5000 WA Aboriginal children in their families and communities. The survey was designed to build a store of knowledge from which preventive strategies can be developed to promote and maintain the healthy development and the social, emotional, academic, and vocational well-being of Aboriginal children. On Wednesday 13 April, 2005 the second volume of findings ‘The Social and Emotional Wellbeing of Aboriginal Children and Young People’ was launched at the Telethon Institute, Roberts Rd, Subiaco. A copy of this report and Volume 1 of the findings 'The Health of Aboriginal Children and Young People' can be downloaded from the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research web site: http://www.ichr.uwa.edu.au/ Document Selection These documents will be presented in a new window.
