Measuring Learning in Australia: Dictionary of Standards for Education and Training Statistics (cat. no. 4232.0.55.001) is due for release in July 2004. The dictionary is a joint initiative of the ABS; the Department of Education, Science and Training; the Australian National Training Authority; and all state and territory education and training departments. This reference document defines standards and outlines methods for the use of data elements in statistical, administrative and service provision settings in the education and training sector. The Dictionary provides a range of information pertinent to the measurement of education and training in Australia.
