Queensland easily produces more bananas than any other state. In 2001-02, Queensland farmers produced 265,800 tonnes of bananas, ahead of New South Wales (31,600 tonnes) and Western Australia (10,100 tonnes). BANANAS, Queensland, year ended 30 June
