Householders haven't been missed in Census form delivery
Many residents are calling the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) thinking they have been missed in Census form delivery and will not be able to participate in the Census.
This is not so — Census forms are still being delivered.
These households will receive their Census form over the next few days, according to manager of ACT and south east NSW Census operations, Alan Masters.
"Forms are being delivered from Friday 28th July until Monday 7th August," he said.
"Because of the huge workload our collectors face, forms have to be delivered up until the day before Census Night.
"There are some 13 million forms to deliver across Australia.
"We are pleased that people are really interested in the Census and want to be involved. The support from the public for the Census has been enormous.
"If you haven't received your form by Monday 7th August, you should call
1300 362 883 and we will arrange for one to be delivered."
Census Collectors are easily identifiable with their identification pass and bright yellow bags. Collectors do not need to enter the household.
The ABS and all Census Collectors are legally bound never to release identifiable personal information to any government, organisation or person outside the ABS.
