QUICKMAPS
The 'QuickMaps' product gives fast, easy access to maps of Census data, free of charge. Now available from the Census Home Page on the ABS web site, the new 'QuickMaps' product provides people with quick and easy access to thematically mapped Census statistics. People can design a map of their chosen area showing the information they need (e.g. data on population, ethnicity, education, family, income, labour force, language spoken, and dwelling characteristics). The maps also label main roads, rivers, airports and selected areas. A scale bar is included on each map for reference.
QuickMaps have been released with 2001 Census data to provide users with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the product prior to the 2006 Census release later this year. Two other new Census products, QuickStats and Census Tables, were released last year and additional products such as CDATA Online and Table Builder will become available later in 2007. |
ADVANCE ORDER SERVICE – CUSTOMISED CENSUS TABLES
If you'll require large and/or complex tables of 2006 Census data, you may like to pre-order these through the ABS customised consultancy service. Designed to cater for more advanced users of unpublished data, the Advance Order Service processes orders on a 'first in, first served' basis, and delivers data as soon as possible following the official releases in July and October 2007.
