This division includes R&D directed towards improved understanding of culture.
It includes:

This division has six groups:

Exclusions:
a) Communications equipment is included in Group 8617 Communications Equipment.
b) Urban and regional planning unrelated to heritage are included in Group 8701 Construction Planning.
c) Information and communication services, including media, library and information services are included in Division 89 Information and Communication Services.
d) Recreational services mainly of a commercial nature (e.g. casino, cinema) are included in Group 9099 Other Commercial Services and Tourism.
e) Moral development in individuals is included in Group 9301 Learner and Learning.
f) Understanding current social, political and economic aspects of other countries is included in Group 9403 International Relations.
