ABANDONED INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY
Overall, the proportion of businesses that reported abandoning at least one innovative activity was very low across all four types of innovation and employment size ranges. The highest proportion of businesses that reported abandoning activity that was intended to result in the introduction of new goods or services (4%) was reported by businesses with 200 or more persons employed, as was abandoned new operational processes (4%). For abandoned new organisational/managerial processes, businesses which employed 5-19 persons and those with 20-199 persons employed, had the highest proportions, both 3%, whereas abandoned new marketing methods was highest for businesses which employed 5-19 persons, at 4%.
