BIRTHS There were 4,210 births registered to mothers usually resident in the ACT during 2005. Of these, 2,130 were boys (51%) and 2,080 were girls (49%).
The most popular girls names in 2006 were Charlotte, Ella, Emily and Sophie. For boys, the most popular names were William, Lachlan, Thomas and Jack.
