RELEVANCE
Final estimates from the 2011-12 Land Management Practices Survey (LaMPS) will be presented in Agricultural Resource Management Practices, Australia (cat. no. 4630.0). It contains detailed statistics on agricultural land management practices used on Australian farms. The data are collected on Australian Agricultural Environments (AAE) regions and on a state/territory basis and then aggregated to derive Australian totals.

ACCURACY
Data from the 2011-12 LaMPS are based on a response rate of 85.3% and has been extensively quality assured. The resultant value estimates have been checked against relevant sources, including contact with data providers, to ensure the accuracy of the estimates produced.
COHERENCE
The 2011-12 LaMPS was conducted using a frame based on the Australian Taxation Office's Australian Business Register (ABR). This frame has been used since the 2005-06 Agricultural Census and for subsequent annual agricultural surveys. INTERPRETABILITY
The Land Management Practices Survey provides a broad range of information about land management practices undertaken by agricultural businesses.
