Potatoes are now the second biggest vegetable crop after carrots. Production is concentrated in the higher rainfall areas of the south-west, with the principal growing centres being Manjimup, Busselton, Donnybrook and Albany. In 2003-04, Western Australian farmers produced 75,900 tonnes of potatoes.
