CensusAtSchool 2012: Data Available Now
These interesting facts, sourced from a random sample taken from the 2012 CensusAtSchool questionnaire data, reveal rich information about Australian students in 2012. Since 2006, approximately one in four schools and over 200,000 students have participated in this voluntary nation-wide questionnaire. This year, approximately 22,000 students from Years 5 to 12 participated nationally in the CensusAtSchool questionnaire. CensusAtSchool is an annual project designed for education purposes only. Its aim is to spark students' interest in statistics. This interactive questionnaire allows students to complete 30 questions by entering data on topics such as their height, what they had for breakfast and their opinions on environmental and social issues. Through the Random Sampler, students have direct access to raw data samples which will provide them with the flexibility to raise their own questions and initiate student centred investigations. You can obtain more interesting data from the 2012 questionnaire by visiting the Random Sampler page.
