NOTES
CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE The production of plasterboard survey was discontinued in June 2012, this is the first issue of the Production of Selected Construction Materials publication that does not contain current data for plasterboard production. The time series for plasterboard production will remain in this publication for a further two months. There have been revisions to the previous 12 months of the Production of pre-mixed concrete series due to additional businesses being included in the survey from the July 2012 survey cycle. The impact of this increase in coverage has been back cast over the previous 12 months resulting in a break in the pre-mixed concrete time series between June 2011 and July 2011. The impact of the change in coverage has been an upward increase in pre-mixed concrete production of approximately 3.5% per month at the Australia level over the last 12 months. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has historically released pre-mixed concrete production estimates for selected sub-state regions based on the Australian Standard Geography Classification (ASGC). From this issue, sub-state estimates will be released based on the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). This data will be available on request from the release of the August 2012 publication on September 28, 2012. DATA NOTES This publication presents estimates at the national and state level. More detailed breakdowns collected by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) may be available on request for a charge. Items for which additional production data are available are listed in paragraphs 8 and 9 of the Explanatory Notes. ROUNDING Where figures have been rounded, discrepancies may occur between sums of the component items and totals.
