NOVEMBER KEY POINTS
ORIGINAL ESTIMATES
- In original terms, November 2014 imports on an international merchandise trade basis were $21,485m, a decrease of $941m (4%) on the revised October 2014 merchandise imports of $22,426m.
PRELIMINARY BALANCE OF PAYMENTS GOODS IMPORTS
- Preliminary analysis shows that goods debits (imports) on a balance of payments basis in original terms fell $753m (3%) between October and November 2014.
- In seasonally adjusted terms, goods debits rose $187m (1%) between October and November 2014 to $22,203m. Intermediate and other merchandise goods rose $224m (2%) and consumption goods rose $131m (2%). Capital goods fell $78m (1%) and non-monetary gold fell $90m (27%).
REVISIONS
- Revisions have been made to the previous six months to incorporate the latest administrative data relating to international merchandise trade.
- The preliminary balance of payments debits estimates incorporate the latest available data.
