Comprises an explanation of the conceptual basis of the classification, the classification structure and definitions for all levels of the classification (major, sub-major, minor and unit groups and occupations). The primary purposes of this product are to aid in the interpretation of ABS occupation statistics and to provide detailed occupation information. This product is the ASCO Second Edition equivalent of Australian Standard Classification of Occupations (ASCO) - Statistical Classification (First Edition) (1222.0) and Australian Standard Classification of Occupations (ASCO) - Occupation Definitions (First Edition)(1223.0). In addition, the CD-ROM includes a Microsoft Windows(TM) based coding facility to enable users to code to Occupation (6-digit) level in an accurate and consistent manner.
