GeoPackages is a project based on the same concept as DataPacks. The difference between the two is GeoPackages hold and merge (in a database container), data from the 2016 Census DataPacks with boundary data from the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).

This release of GeoPackages contains the General Community Profile DataPack at the Remoteness Area geography level.

This includes information on key Census characteristics for people, families and dwellings, such as age, education, income, housing and employment. It replaces the Basic and Expanded Community Profile DataPacks and has been created by merging elements of both these profiles.
