About this Release	ABOUT THIS RELEASE The purpose of this information paper is to explain the concepts underlying the teenage unemployment rates published by the ABS. It also discusses a selection of alternative methods for measuring the unemployment level of the teenage population by making use of data released regularly by the ABS, and compares the results with the equivalent adult measures.
