About this Release	ABOUT THIS RELEASE A link file has been developed by the ABS to facilitate the comparison of occupation data between the First and Second Editions of ASCO. Occupation data from the 1996 Census of Population and Housing were coded to both editions of ASCO. This formed the basis of the link file which shows the quantitative relationship between the two editions.The file, available on floppy disk, is accompanied by an information paper which also includes a number of basic tables illustrating the relationship between First and Second Edition at the broadest (Major Group) level of the classification.
