This bulletin contains a new series of estimates of wage and salary earners in employment, for the period June 1966 to June 1969. The estimates in this bullet in replace those previously published in issues of Employment and Unemployment (cat. no. 6213.0) to February 1969.

More industry detail is shown in this bulletin than has previously been published. For Australia, separate particulars are shown for rail transport and air transport and a dissection of the founding, engineering and metalworking industry, and for each State separate figures are shown for the principal manufacturing groups. In addition, estimates are included for broad industry groups in the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory,
