VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES
TOTAL
- The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose 0.3% in the March 2017 quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose 2.8% in the March quarter to $20,293.2m.
PRIVATE SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.2% in the March quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector rose 3.0% in the March quarter to $12,518.9m.
PUBLIC SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose 2.5% in the March quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose 2.5% in the March quarter to $7,774.3m.
VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED, CURRENT PRICES
- The value of work commenced in the March quarter was $14,026.2m in original terms, a decrease of 25.1% from the December quarter.
