JUNE KEY POINTS
VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES
TOTAL
- The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose 0.5% in the June 2010 quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose 1.8% in the June quarter, to $20,340.2m.
PRIVATE SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector rose 1.6% in the June quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector rose 5.1% in the June quarter, to $12,653.6m.
PUBLIC SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 1.2% in the June quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 3.1% in the June quarter, to $7,686.6m.
VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED, CURRENT PRICES
- The value of work commenced in the June quarter was $16,452.9m, a fall of 2.8% from the March 2010 quarter.

Compared with the current price estimates in original terms published in the previous issue of this publication:
- The March quarter work done estimates have been revised downward by $21.1m. These revisions occurred predominantly in the Oil, gas, coal and other minerals commodities.
