Cattle
Compared to August 2019:
- Cattle slaughtered increased 0.9% to 711,200 head
- Beef production increased 0.8% 200,600 tonnes
Compared to September 2018:
- Cattle slaughtered increased 5.9%
- Beef production increased 4.5%
Calves
Compared to August 2019:
- Calves slaughtered decreased 1.4% to 45,800 head
- Veal production decreased 0.2% to 2,300 tonnes
Compared to September 2018:
- Calves slaughtered increased 10.1%
- Veal production increased 31.2%
Sheep
Compared to August 2019:
- Sheep slaughtered decreased 1.1% to 697,600 head
- Mutton production increased 0.4% to 17,600 tonnes
Compared to September 2018:
- Sheep slaughtered decreased 19.6%
- Mutton production decreased 14.0%
Lamb
Compared to August 2019:
- Lambs slaughtered decreased 1.2% to 1.65 million head
- Lamb production decreased 0.8% to 39,200 tonnes
