JANUARY KEY POINTS

Livestock and meat production monthly trend movements for January 2016:
  • Cattle slaughter and production declined further in January 2016 making its thirteenth consecutive fall reported after reaching record highs in late 2014.
  • Calf slaughter and production continued to decline in January 2016.
  • Sheep slaughter and production dropped slightly in January 2016.
  • Lamb slaughter and production increased slightly in January 2016.
