This publication provides information about the second edition of the basic Confidentialised Unit Record File (CURF) from the 1988-89 Household Expenditure Survey. The second edition of the CURF is a re-release of the previous edition (released in 1992), with the addition of the variable STATE.
The CURF provides unit record data relating to the expenditure, income and other characteristics of 7,225 households. Data from the Fiscal Incidence Study, which imputes the incidence of government benefits and taxes on households, are also included. Actions have been taken to preserve the confidentiality of the survey respondents.
The Technical Manual and a datacube containing a list of all data items on the file are available from the 'Downloads' tab.
Further information about ABS CURFs is available on the ABS website <https://www.abs.gov.au> (see Services, CURF Microdata). |
