In December quarter 2015, there were 72 disputes, six fewer than in September quarter 2015.
The number of employees involved in industrial disputes in December quarter 2015 was 20,300, a decrease from 29,800 in September quarter 2015.
There were 19,100 working days lost due to industrial disputation in December quarter 2015, a decrease from 29,100 in September quarter 2015.
The Construction industry (12,900) had the highest number of working days lost by industry, accounting for 67% of total working days lost.
Queensland (11,700) had the highest number of working days lost of any state or territory in December quarter 2015, accounting for 61% of total working days lost. Queensland also had the highest number of working days lost per thousand employees (5.5) for the quarter.
YEAR ENDED ESTIMATES
During the year ended December 2015, there were 228 disputes, 40 more than in the year ended December 2014.
Over the same period, there were 83,400 working days lost, compared with 71,400 in the year ended December 2014.
