Explanatory Notes Bibliography Glossary Abbreviations Data items (Appendix) Data Quality (Technical Note)	EXPLANATORY NOTES INTRODUCTION 1 This publication presents data on social wellbeing indicators and participation in sport and physical recreation, compiled from the 2010 General Social Survey (GSS). The GSS collected information about personal and household characteristics for people aged 18 years and over resident in private dwellings throughout Australia, excluding very remote areas, from August to November 2010. 2 Further Explanatory Notes on the 2010 GSS can be found in ABS (2011a) General Social Survey: Summary Results, Australia, 2010 (cat. no. 4159.0). These Explanatory Notes contain information on the scope of the survey, sample design, data collection, weighting and reliability of estimates. The publication also contains a Technical Note that provides information on data quality.
