ABOUT THIS RELEASE
The Expanded CURFs from the 2002 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Survey (NATSISS) (formerly Indigenous Social Survey) brings together information from a wide range of topics. Topics include family and community, health, education, employment, income, financial stress, housing, transport and law and justice. Users are able to manipulate the data, produce tabulations and undertake statistical analysis to their individual specifications. Names, addresses and any other information that might identify an individual person or household have been removed. The CURFs contain less detail than was collected in the 2002 NATSISS, as a small number of unusual records have been removed and details have been changed for selected data items in order to protect confidentiality. The CURFs are only available through the Remote Access Data Laboratory (RADL) to clients who have signed an undertaking stating that the information will be used for statistical purposes only and agreeing to the terms of use. The undertaking and explanatory information are available from the ABS website (see Services>CURF Microdata). A Technical Paper explaining data content, technical details and conditions of use is provided with the files. Please note that the 2002 CURF Technical Paper (cat. no. 4720.0) has not been revised to incorporate the March 2010 changes. Please refer to the Explanatory Notes tab of the Technical Paper on the ABS website for details regarding the changes. Document Selection These documents will be presented in a new window.
