SUMMARY


The Energy Account, Australia (EAA) provides statistics to monitor changes in the supply and use of energy over time, both from an economic and an environmental perspective. The EAA forms part of a suite of environmental-economic accounts being developed for Australia.


AUSTRALIA'S ENERGY AT A GLANCE

  • Australia's net energy supply increased by 5% between 2013-14 and 2014-15.
  • Energy intensity (measured in GJ/$m IGVA) decreased by 1% between 2013-14 and 2014-15.
  • Household energy use per person decreased by 0.4% between 2013-14 and 2014-15.
