IN THIS ISSUE
The Migrant Data Matrices provides users with links to data on migrants from a wide range of ABS products. Data include a broad selection of demographic, geographic, socio-economic and survey specific items. The data items included are not exhaustive but rather provide a selection of the data available from a collection (survey). Each data cube includes a link to the main features and explanatory notes of the source product or collection.
In this edition, seven new data cubes have been added, as well as new links to previously released migrant data:
- Births 2012, 2013
- Deaths 2012, 2013
- Marriages and Divorces 2012, 2013
- Survey of Education and Work 2013
A number of features help to streamline the volume of content and to make it easier for users to navigate to source data within the product. These include:
- A Migrant Data Matrices Data Cube that shows which migrant related data items are available for each of the source products (ABS surveys) in an Excel spreadsheet, and provides a hyperlink to download the data cube of interest.
- 'A - Z List of Data cubes'. This page provides an alphabetical list of links to all released data cubes - the latest as well as those previously released.
- A streamlined 'Downloads' page. The cubes listed here represent the latest migrant data available on the topic. Users will still be able to access all previously released data cubes via the 'A - Z list of data cubes'.
- Topic pages that group related data cubes and presents the main features for source product information in a table format.
The ABS products included will change over time as more data are released. The Migrant Data Matrices data cubes have been updated after consideration of usage. High usage data cubes (based on web analysis) have been given greater priority for updates. In most cases the data presented will be current, however, it is recommended that users check for more recent releases. If available, requests for more recent migrant data can be made using the Inquiries details below.
