Trend estimates: Short-term visitor arrivals during November 2013 (548,100 movements) increased 0.3% compared with October 2013 (546,400 movements). This followed monthly increases of 0.7% in September and 0.5% in October 2013. The current trend estimate for arrivals is 4.5% higher than in November 2012.
Seasonally adjusted estimates: During November 2013, short-term visitor arrivals (542,100 movements) recorded a decrease of 0.9% compared with October 2013 (546,900 movements). This followed a monthly increase of 1.8% in September and a decrease of 0.9% in October 2013.
Original estimates: There were 581,100 short-term visitor arrivals to Australia in November 2013.
SHORT-TERM RESIDENT DEPARTURES FROM AUSTRALIA
Trend estimates: Short-term resident departures during November 2013 (735,100 movements) decreased 0.1% compared with October 2013 (735,900 movements). This follows a monthly increase of 0.1% in September and no change in October 2013. The current trend estimate for departures is 6.4% higher than in November 2012.
Seasonally adjusted estimates: During November 2013, short-term resident departures (732,400 movements) increased 0.1% compared with October 2013 (731,700 movements). This followed a monthly increase of 1.0% in September and a decrease of 1.4% in October 2013.
Original estimates: There were 683,700 short-term resident departures from Australia during November 2013.
