TREND ESTIMATES
The trend estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for September 2007 (471,200 movements) decreased by 0.1% compared with August 2007 (471,500 movements). This followed a monthly decrease of 0.1% for July 2007 and no change for August 2007.
Currently, short-term visitor arrivals are 2.2% higher than in September 2006.
SEASONALLY ADJUSTED ESTIMATES
The seasonally adjusted estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for September 2007 (475,300 movements) decreased by 0.4% compared with August 2007 (477,200 movements). This followed a monthly decrease of 2.6% for July 2007 and a monthly increase of 3.8% for August 2007.
