These data are used to determine the Australian Government per capita recurrent funding of the non-government school sector. Selected data from the Non-government Schools Census are provided to the finance and non-finance National Schools Statistics Collection (NSSC) collections for the purposes of producing national estimates. The Non-government Schools Census collects detailed data on the affiliations of schools; the numbers and major functions of staff; and student age, sex, grade, those who speak English as a second language, and on students with disabilities. Scope Non-government schools, their students and permanent staff. Reference Period August each year Frequency of Collection Annual Method of Collection Data are collected from each establishment by DEEWR, via the internet.
