Private sector vacancies were 291,700, a decrease of 5.4% from November 2024.
Public sector vacancies were 37,200, an increase of 3.0% from November 2024.

Job vacancies over time

Job vacancies decreased by 4.5% (15,600 vacancies) in the three months to February 2025 (seasonally adjusted). This is down by 30.7% from May 2022 when the level of job vacancies peaked. Despite the recent decline, job vacancies were still 44.5% higher than they were in February 2020, prior to the start of the pandemic.
