Purpose
Survey to collect information on consumer usage of black coal in New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
Description
A survey of all (approximately 90) black coal users operating in New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
A mail or e-mailed questionnaire is used to collect the data. NSW power stations and steelworks data are collected monthly, all other data are collected six-monthly.

- coal received;
- opening stock of coal;
- coal usage; and
- closing stock of coal.
Geographic coverage
New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
Frequency of data availability
Six-monthly.
Reference period
Six months ended 30 June and 31 December.
Historical data
Data are available from 1947.
