Presents a more comprehensive range of data on carers in Australia than published in the Disability, Ageing and Carers publication - Summary of Findings (Cat. no. 4430.0). The first section focuses on the carer status of persons in households by a range of educational, employment and other socio-economic characteristics. The second section covers primary carers and their relationship with the recipient of care, including type of assistance provided disability status and hours of care. The final tables cover the effects of caring on the primary carer.
