DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales rose 3.2% in December and has risen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 1.4% in December and has fallen for four months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 0.6% in December and has risen for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.5% in December and has risen for five months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland rose 0.8% in December after falling for three months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.1% in December and has fallen for two months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 0.2% in December and has risen for seven months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.4% in December and has fallen for 10 months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia rose 0.9% in December and has risen for eight months.
