DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 2.3% in January and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.7% in January and has risen for three months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 2.6% in January and has risen for eight months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.3% in January and has risen for 13 months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland rose 1.1% in January and has risen for three months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 1.6% in January and has fallen for four months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 3.2% in January and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 1.4% in January and has fallen for three months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia rose 0.5% in January after falling for four months.
