Main Features Building Approvals Dwelling Units Approved, State Trends About this Release History of Changes Trend dwelling approvals rise 0.7 per cent in July (Media Release)	BUILDING APPROVALS NUMBER OF DWELLING UNITS The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.7% in July. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 1.7% to 18,299 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 1.0% in July. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate was flat at 9,743 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses rose 0.1% in July. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 6.7% to 8,080 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved fell 0.2% in July and has fallen for four months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 1.8% in July and has risen for three months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved rose 3.1% in July and has risen for six months.
