WHATS NEW THIS MONTH Topics which have been updated with new data in this month's issue of SA Stats include: Demography; Labour Force; Incomes; State Accounts; Consumption; Investment; Construction; Price Indexes; Housing Finance; International Merchandise Trade; and Water. This month's issue of SA Stats shows the house price index for established houses in Adelaide rose 2.1% in the March quarter 2008. This growth was not as strong as the previous three quarters which each showed growth of around 6%. The average home loan commitment for owner occupied dwellings in South Australia in April 2008 was $194,900, up from $179,900 in April 2007. However, there has been little increase in the average size of home loan commitments over the last nine months. The average home loan commitment in April 2008 ($194,900) was only slightly higher than that of July 2007 ($193,600).
