POPULATION MEASURES

This table is provided to highlight the difference between the Census 'as enumerated' and 'usual residence' counts and the Estimated Resident Population (ERP). The ERP is the official ABS estimate of the Australian population. It is based on the Census of Population and Housing usual residence counts and is updated quarterly using births, deaths and migration data.
