In the December quarter 2009, beef production decreased 2% to 517 thousand tonnes compared to the previous quarter. MUTTON AND LAMB Mutton production in the December quarter 2009 decreased 4% to 51 thousand tonnes compared to the previous quarter. Lamb production decreased 1% to 107 thousand tonnes in the December quarter 2009 compared to the previous quarter. PIG MEAT Pig meat production in the December quarter 2009 increased 2% to 84 thousand tonnes compared to the previous quarter. TOTAL RED MEAT Total red meat production decreased 1% to 767 thousand tonnes in the December quarter 2009 compared to the previous quarter. CHICKEN MEAT Chicken meat production in the December quarter 2009, decreased 1% to 203 thousand tonnes compared to the previous quarter.
