The ABS is conducting a review of the Producer Price Indexes (PPIs) and International Trade Price Indexes (ITPIs), which will be completed in February 2012.

This information paper presents the outcome of the review process and addresses issues such as: the principal purpose; the future suite of the PPIs and ITPIs; coverage; and release timing.

Changes to the PPIs and ITPIs will be introduced from the September Quarter 2012.

The name of this publication has changed slightly from when it was initially first advertised. The name change is from: Information Paper: Outcome of the Producer and International Trade Price Indexes Review and is now called: Information Paper: Outcome of the Review of the Producer and International Trade Price Indexes.
